![]() When you have problems with something or someone, you try to work with it and fix the way you interact with the situation rather than throwing it away. The same is to be said about any area in life. That being said, I do think Evernote is quite slow and sluggish in many areas compared to the other products, and they have a lot of things I'm sure they are working to fix. There are plenty of other products: Nimbus Note, Zoho Notebook, OneNote, Notion, and more all of them are wonderful, but Evernote is a great combination of the two and I really enjoy the new Evernote Web design. There are quite a few frustrating things about Evernote for me, a lot of them being primarily on the Android side of things.Īt the same time, Evernote offers me what other products don't. ![]() I wonder how many other people want the same thing - a personal database that will be around 50 years from definitely not the only one, no. There is a huge potential, a blind spot actually, that all the products I am aware of are missing. There are so many ways Evernote can be developed to improve the management and analysis of private or shared databases. I want a product that will be around in the future, so all my efforts will not be wasted. ![]() Today everyone is trying to create Enterprise/Business products, what I want is a personal product that I know will be around 50 years from now. Maybe what is needed is a new company that starts from scratch - but that takes soooo long to get going. I would love to buy Evernote and return to the roots which was a personal database product that makes it easy for users to create, collect and retrieve information. I do not fault the current management team, I am sure they are responding to financial/market pressures and user feedback to craft the Everneote they think the market wants. What is needed is a leader with a clear vision and the VC's to back them up. ($15 new, $7.50 upgrade from TripMode 2, a free upgrade for purchases in the last 6 months, 10.I am very sad to say - I think Evernote has lost it's way. TripMode is also included in the $9.99-per-month Setapp Mac app subscription service. It’s priced at $15 for a single license or $20 for two licenses plus a TripMode 2 license for retro-compatibility. TripMode 3 requires macOS 11.0 Big Sur, though TripMode 2.3 is available for those running 10.10 Yosemite through 10.15 Catalina. The release also adds the App inspector for insights into data transfer activity from or to third-party servers, and it gains Historical Reports for viewing total and per-app data usage. This major upgrade introduces the new Live Monitor to oversee the traffic of all apps in real-time, making it easy to identify excessive or unexpected data transfers. #1630: Apple Books changes in iOS 16, simplified USB branding, recovering a lost Google Workspace accountĪlix Sàrl has released version 3 of its TripMode data usage control utility, which optimizes your Mac’s data usage by automatically blocking unnecessary Internet traffic (see “ TripMode Prevents Unwanted Internet Data Usage on a Tethered Mac,” 22 July 2015).#1631: iOS 16.0.3 and watchOS 9.0.2, roller coasters trigger Crash Detection, Medications in iOS 16, watchOS 9 Low Power Mode.#1632: Apple Card Savings accounts, SOS in the iPhone status bar, Tab Wrangler, Focus in iOS 16.#1633: macOS 13 Ventura and other OS updates, 10th-gen iPad, M2 iPad Pro, 3rd-gen Apple TV 4K, Apple services price hikes.#1634: New Messages features, Apple Q4 2022 results, Preview drops PostScript, iOS/iPadOS 15.7.1, Dvorak on iPhone and iPad.
